Emma Prusch Farm Park

Emma Prusch Farm Park reflects a bit of San Jose's rich agricultural past. San Jose's largest barn is home to everything from sheep, pigs and steer to ducks, chickens, geese and rabbits. The park also features vintage farm equipment, robust community gardens, a rare fruit orchard and acres of open grass perfect for picnicking, kite flying, games and relaxing. Gardening, landscaping and cooking classes are offered throughout the year.

Emma Prusch generously deeded the property to the City of San José in 1962 to be enjoyed as a working farm in the center of a busy city. Miss Prusch specifically requested that the land keep its country feeling, preserving the quality of the Santa Clara Valley that she remembered, when trees and animals were more prominent than houses, freeways and shopping centers.

      Feed the Farm Animals! Emma Prusch Farm Park Feed the Farm Animals! Presented by Emma Prusch Farm Park at Emma Prusch Farm Park September 25, 2009 - Ongoing Kids will have the opportunity one Saturday morning each month to assist park staff in the feeding the ducks, goats, chickens, rabbits, geese, sheep and miniature pigs. Registration is limited to 20 children; please call the main office for specific dates and details.
