Young At Art

Young At Art is an art school which encourages artistic expression in a nurturing environment. It holds classes year-round, with enrollments of over 400 students per month. It offers art classes for ages four to adult specializing in oil painting, drawing, and exploration with mixed media. Week-long day camps are offered June through August with ceramics, painting, sculpture and more.

The student-teacher ratio is seven to one, allowing each student an abundance of help. Each Instructor is an accomplished artist and looks forward to sharing his/her talents.

    06/01/09- Ongoing	Oil Painting Classes Young At Art Oil Painting Classes Presented by Young At Art at Young At Art June 1, 2009 - Ongoing We are an art school specializing in painting with oils. Our students are aged six through adult with varied skill levels from beginning to advanced. Our student teacher ratio is one to six allowing each student an abundance of help and instruction. All materials included except canvases.
    06/01/09- Ongoing	Drawing Classes Young At Art Drawing Classes Presented by Young At Art at Young At Art June 1, 2009 - Ongoing Does your child like to draw? This class will focus on basic drawing techniques in graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, pastel and more. We will also introduce color theory principles. The exercises we plan will develop an understanding for light, form, color, prospective, tonal shading and line techniques. Sketching Pads not included.
    06/01/09- Ongoing	Advanced Art - Portfolio Preparation Young At Art Advanced Art - Portfolio Preparation Presented by Young At Art at Young At Art June 1, 2009 - Ongoing This is an ongoing structured class that will help prepare, plan, and guide the serious art student to enrich and/or prepare a demanding art portfolio requirement for high school or beyond. Although structured, this class welcomes the needs of each student and their art concentrations. Students will express their skills and talents through varied mediums including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpting. All projects are thematic and conceptually geared to be original and technical in...
    06/01/09- Ongoing	Mixed Media Young At Art Mixed Media Presented by Young At Art at Young At Art June 1, 2009 - Ongoing In this class of 10 students or less, we will create a safe space to create, exercise our imagination and work together to solve artistic problems. We will create 2-D and 3-D artwork using classic art materials such as pastels, paints, clay, and papier mache. New or surprising materials such as wire, foam and wood are sometimes featured. All materials included; ages 7 & up.
    06/01/09- Ongoing	Intro to Drawing Young At Art Intro to Drawing Presented by Young At Art at Young At Art June 1, 2009 - Ongoing Do they love art, but you haven't found a place to take them? Look no further - this class is a group lesson with individual attention as the students need. We will work on simple ideas and projects especially geared to 4-5 year olds. Students will learn from basic values and form with projects like still life, landscape, and animal drawing. All materials included.
