San Francisco/Peninsula Writers

San Francisco/Peninsula Writers is a branch of the California Writers Club, founded in 1909 by Jack London and friends. The California Writers Club is the nation's oldest professional club for writers. The organization is dedicated to educating writers of all levels of expertise in the craft of writing and in the marketing of their work. This is achieved through regular meetings, workshops, contests, seminars and conferences. Writers of all disciplines are welcome to join.

    Writer's Forum Open Mic Night Borders - San Mateo Writer's Forum Open Mic Night Presented by San Francisco/Peninsula Writers at Borders - San Mateo November 18, 2009 - Ongoing This is a great opportunity for authors to get exposure and to practice public speaking skills. Open to all writers and listeners, including California Writers Club (CWC) members and non-members. 10 Writers Read, for 10 minutes each. Each reader is given a choice of whether or not they wish to receive feedback. The Writer's Forum Open Mic Night meets every third Wednesday of each month and is moderated by Jim Hanna.
