Dawn Rose is a native of San Francisco, California. Raised in Belmont on the San Francisco Peninsula, she began singing and playing guitar at age seven. By the time she graduated from high school she was starting to perform in the duo, August, in nearby restaurants. She moved to the coastal mountain town of La Honda in the early eighties where she played in the local bars and restaurants – Applejack’s, the Pioneer Saloon, the Hitchrack, Alice’s Restaurant, and along the coast for the next nine years with the bands, The Swindlers, Dawn and the Debs, Bole Bantu, and as a solo artist, creating a dedicated local following. In 1992, Dawn moved to the Napa Valley and began raising a family while continuing to play music. Seven years ago she founded the popular acoustic-rock female trio Sweet Burgundy, which now plays over 30 shows each year in the Napa Valley and beyond. She has previously recorded one solo album, These Days, and two with Sweet Burgundy.

Dawn is excited about the release of her newest independent album Step By Step, co-written with and produced by Tom Corwin of Mill Valley, California. Tom has also produced such stellar artists as Bonnie Raitt, Patti Labelle and Stevie Wonder. She and Tom spent two years writing and recording Step By Step, using top-notch Bay Area musicians, engineers and recording studios, and have created a beautiful album of original rock songs.
