Smack-dab in the heart of Silicon Valley, the global center of technological innovation, sits a bustling 120 acre land bastion of "no tech" businesses that host more than four million visitors a year. The San Jose Flea Market opened its gates in 1960, and its property now encompasses about 1,000 small buildings, 1,000 open-air stalls, and all sorts of amenities.
At this event, you can find an enormous variety of collectibles... arts, crafts, comic books, belt buckles, jewelry, and more. You can also find a huge selection of fashion clothing, walking shoes, fine furniture, and tools-from bonsai pruning shears to power miters.
You can enjoy freshly prepared International and California foods from twenty-five restaurants, dozens of snack carts and outdoor barbecues. Visitors are surrounded by music from all countries and in all styles... from authentic mariachis to a cappella oldies. Younger visitors enjoy an old-fashioned carousel and a number of playgrounds, the toy stores and the cool depths of the arcade.
Spice shops, fish markets and delicatessens dot California's largest farmers' market, Produce Row. It's a shaded, quarter-mile long marketplace packed with produce from around the world, as well as fruits and vegetables fresh from California farms.
