Grammy-nominated Vocal Pyrotechnians The Bobs bring their trademark musical acrobatics to Angelica's Bistro on June 6. Originally from San Francisco, The Bobs, the original "band without instruments" have been touring, recording, and breaking the boundaries of all musical genres for over 25 years, to the amazement of audiences from Lincoln Center to Berlin's Passionkirche to the Great American Music Hall. This is not your father's a cappella quartet!
With 14 CDs, 3 DVDs and a host of commericals and movies to their credit, The Bobs have garnered a healthy national cult following. Their most recent CD, Get Your Monkey Off My Dog, was named one of the Top 25 Independent CDs of 2008, and their penultimate recording, Rhapsody in Bob, which inspired a show that recently toured Fine Arts venues across the country, featured their critically acclaimed, truly unique arrangement of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with a guest pianist and The Bobs as a "Vocal Orchestra." A documentary about the band, Sign My Snarling Video: 25 Years of The Bobs was released in 2007.
