With River is the new band of singer-songwriters Philip Rodriguez and Colin Carthen, featuring harmony vocals in the Americana, alt-folk sound. All roots-based and acoustic, on guitars, mandolin, violin, and harmony vocals. Influences ranging from Townes Van Zandt, Tracy Chapman, Jeff Buckley, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, early Bob Dylan, late Johnny Cash (American Recordings), and The Soggy Bottom Boys (from O Brother Where Art Thou).
